SAHO/Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) Bargaining Update – December 2025
The SAHO and HSAS bargaining committees convened on December 1 and 2, 2025, to continue collective bargaining discussions.
This session resulted in agreement on a Land Acknowledgement, as well as on Article 11.15 – Interpersonal Violence Leave, which has now been updated to reflect recent Bill 5 amendments to The Saskatchewan Employment Act.
The parties also engaged in constructive and solution-focused dialogue on a number of other items, enabling a clearer understanding of each party’s priorities and contributing to meaningful progress at the table:
- Article 5 – No Discrimination
- Provisions related to the Indigenous workforce
- Article 23 – Occupational Health and Safety
SAHO views the outcomes of the December discussions as a positive indicator that further agreement is both possible and within reach. To support continued advancement, the parties are taking steps to implement several process enhancements designed to facilitate even more constructive and efficient discussions moving forward. Work is also underway to confirm additional bargaining dates in 2026, ensuring continued momentum in the new year.
SAHO remains committed to a thoughtful and constructive bargaining process that reflects the evolving needs of the healthcare system while ensuring appropriate flexibility to support employees, patients, clients, and residents.
The next negotiation session is scheduled to take place in Regina on January 13, 14, and 15, 2026.
