The SAHO Bargaining Committee and the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees’ Union Local 3024 (SGEU) met in Regina on January 6, 7, and 8, 2026 for a productive and collaborative round of collective bargaining discussions.

During this session, the committees reached agreement on several items, including provisions related to Steward Representation, Progressive Discipline, Suspension Pending Investigation, Grievance Procedure, Performance Evaluations, and Vacancies and New Positions. The Union also withdrew several proposals. 

Constructive discussions continued on Occupational Health and Safety provisions, as well as recognition of education and experience. These conversations further strengthened mutual understanding and moved the parties significantly closer to entering monetary discussions. 

This progress reflects the shared commitment of both parties to advancing negotiations in a collaborative, respectful, and solution-focused manner that supports employees, the Employer, and the patients we serve.

The next bargaining session is scheduled for January 27, 28, and 29, 2026, in Regina.
