The SAHO Bargaining Committee and the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees’ Union Local 3024 (SGEU) met on June 16, 17 and 18th in Regina.

The parties continued to engage in productive and collaborative discussions that have advanced the collective bargaining process.

During this session, we reached agreement on a modified hours of work scheduling option designed to allow extended daily hours of operation to align with expanding patient care needs. This option also results in employees being scheduled to working fewer days per week.  

Constructive discussions continue on provisions related to regular hours of work, casual work, and on other non-monetary items. 

This progress reflects the shared commitment of both parties to advancing negotiations in a collaborative, respectful, and solution-focused manner that supports employees, the Employer, and the patients we serve.

The next bargaining session is scheduled for July 28, 29 and 30, 2026 in Saskatoon.
