18-Jun-2018 - The parties met on June 13-15, 2018 in Saskatoon, further exchanges occurred with discussions in progress. The next bargaining dates are June 21, 22 and 23, 2018 with the location to be determined.

24-May-2018 - The parties met on May 22-23, 2018 in Saskatoon. Discussions continued and some progress was made. Further dates are being planned for June.
Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) Bargaining Update - April 24-25, 2018
26-Apr-2018 - Significant progress was made related to language issues during the day and a half of discussions. The parties will organize further sessions later in May, with dates currently pending.

09-Apr-2018 - SAHO met with the Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) April 5 to 8, 2018 in Saskatoon. Extensive discussions were held on outstanding issues and some progress was made on matters relating to language within the collective agreements. Future bargaining dates are to be determined.

29-Mar-2018 - SAHO met with the Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) on March 25 to 28, 2018 in Regina. The parties exchanged proposals, with further bargaining dates planned for April 5 to 7, 2018 in Saskatoon.

21-Mar-2018 - Provider Unions Bargaining Update (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) – March 12-16, 2018 SAHO met with the Providers Unions March 12 to 16, 2018 in Saskatoon. Proposals were exchanged between the parties. Further discussions are ongoing, with future bargaining dates booked for March 25 to 28, 2018 in Regina.
Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) Bargaining Update - November 23 to 27, 2017
05-Dec-2017 - SAHO and the Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) met in Saskatoon November 23 to 27, 2017. During this time, discussions were held to clarify outstanding issues. On November 27, 2017, the Unions chose to move from common table discussions to traditional bargaining. New bargaining dates have yet to be confirmed.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update – October 30-November 3, 2017
07-Nov-2017 - SAHO met with the Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) on October 30-November 3, 2017 in Saskatoon. The parties discussed outstanding issues, with the Unions providing a document detailing their position at the end of the week. SAHO will respond to the Unions when they next meet on November 23-27, 2017 in Saskatoon.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update – October 16-18, 2017
23-Oct-2017 - SAHO and the Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) met in Moose Jaw October 16-18, 2017. Options were explored in an effort to define a potential settlement. The Unions presented SAHO with their collective thoughts October 17, 2017, but discussions were not concluded. Further discussions will take place October 30-November 3, 2017 in Saskatoon.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update - September 14-23, 2017
27-Sep-2017 - SAHO and the Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) concluded a productive 10 days of bargaining in Saskatoon on September 23, 2017. There was progress made on a number of proposals that have now been finalized, and additional counter proposals exchanged on outstanding items. This included memoranda to further facilitate discussions related to transition issues for both parties, pertinent to the move to a single health authority. The parties remain apart on the -3.5 compensation reduction and the term of the agreement. The next bargaining dates have been set for October 16, 17 and 18, 2017 in Moose Jaw.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update - September 5 to 7, 2017
08-Sep-2017 - The parties met in Regina on September 5 to 7, 2017. The Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) presented SAHO with a counter proposal package on September 7, 2017. The counter proposal is under review and SAHO will be responding at the next set of bargaining dates. The next meetings are scheduled for September 14 to 24, 2017 inclusive, in Saskatoon. The commitment to 11 consecutive days of bargaining indicates all parties are working hard to conclude a collective agreement.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update - July 25 to August 1, 2017
02-Aug-2017 - The parties were scheduled to meet July 25, 26 and 27, 2017. The Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) requested additional days in order to compile a comprehensive proposal package, so the parties met through to August 1, 2017. Proposals were exchanged prior to the end of the sessions and additional bargaining dates have been set for September 4, 5 and 6, 2017 in Regina and September 14 to 24, 2017 in Saskatoon.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update - July 4, 5 and 6, 2017
13-Jul-2017 - SAHO and the Provider Union (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) bargaining committees met in Saskatoon on July 4, 5 and 6, 2017. The unions requested further clarification on SAHO’s proposal package. Based on these discussions, SAHO anticipates a response from the unions regarding the proposal package at the next round of bargaining, July 25, 26 and 27 in Regina.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update - June 13-14, 2017
19-Jun-2017 - SAHO and the Provider Unions (CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU) bargaining committees met in Saskatoon on June 13-14, 2017. There were several non-monetary items agreed to and signed off on. There were further discussions on a number of items that gained greater clarification. The groundwork was established to facilitate even more substantive negotiations in July, with future bargaining dates confirmed for July 4, 5 and 6 in Saskatoon and July 25, 26 and 27, 2017 in Regina. An update will be provided after each bargaining session.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update - May 30, 31, June 1
02-Jun-2017 - Provider Unions Bargaining Update for May 30, 31, June 1, 2017 Three days of bargaining were held with CUPE, SEIU-West and SGEU on May 30, 31 and June 1, 2017 in Regina. The Unions have been firm on pursuing bargaining at individual tables prior to commencing monetary negotiations at a common table. There is the expectation that bargaining will progress by the end of June. Failure to bargain at a common table from the outset will have the effect of slowing the pace of bargaining. General discussions continue with the next scheduled bargaining dates being June 13 and 14, 2017 in Saskatoon. An update will be provided after each bargaining session.
Provider Unions Bargaining Update - May 25, 2017
26-May-2017 - Provider Unions Bargaining Update for May 25, 2017 A one-day meeting was held with CUPE, SEIU-West and SGEU on May 3, 2017. Several logistical items were discussed, but no proposals were exchanged. On May 25, 2017, SAHO and the unions exchanged proposals and ground rules for proceeding were established. There were conversations around respectful communications, and SAHO is reliant upon employers to enforce that communications within the workplace pertaining to bargaining should also remain respectful. The next scheduled dates to meet are: May 30, 31 and June 1, 2017 June 13, 14, 2017
SUN Bargaining Update - October 6, 7, 8, 2015
08-Oct-2015 - The SAHO and SUN bargaining committees met in Regina on October 6, 7, 8, 2015. The days were productive with some issues being resolved. A number of working groups were struck to address issues in a more timely and focused manner. Progress made by the working groups will be reported back at the next bargaining sessions.
SUN Bargaining Update - September 21, 22, 23, 2015
25-Sep-2015 - The SAHO and SUN bargaining committees tackled large and systemic issues, with agreement to research additional solutions for discussion at the next meeting. A number of provisions were also agreed to during this session. Further meetings are scheduled for October.
SUN Bargaining Update - September 9, 10, 11, 2015
14-Sep-2015 - The SAHO and SUN bargaining committees met in Regina on September 9, 10, 11, 2015. Thoughtful and transparent conversations continued on many long standing issues like recruitment and retention. The parties made good progress on items of mutual interest that will assist in clarifying and modernizing the collective agreement. Plans are to meet throughout September and October to continue working through complex issues in a collaborative manner.
SUN Bargaining Update August 12, 13, 14, 2015
14-Aug-2015 - On August 12, 13, 14, 2015, the SAHO and SUN bargaining committees met in Regina. There were high level productive discussions, and the parties remain positive and focused on resolutions utilizing the collaborative problem solving process. Additional dates have been set for September.
HSAS Bargaining Update August 6, 2015
06-Aug-2015 - Please be advised that the SAHO/HSAS collective agreement has been ratified by the employers and the union membership. The parties meet on August 6, 2015 to sign the agreement. A draft electronic copy will be posted to the SAHO website by August 14, 2015. Printed copies of the collective agreement will be available in late fall of 2015. The following monetary terms were agreed to: Economic increases applied to base wage: April 1, 2013 = 1.5% April 1, 2014 = 1.5% April 1, 2015 = 1.55% April 1, 2016 = 1.95% April 1, 2017 = 1.95% Retroactive pay adjustments are provided for the period of April 1, 2013 to November 30, 2014 and for the month of May 2015. Increases to standby, shift premiums and weekend premiums were also negotiated.
HSAS Bargaining Update re LOU #20
06-Aug-2015 - HSAS and SAHO - Joint Communication as per LOU #20 Bargaining Process and Relationships SAHO and HSAS have agreed to continue discussions related to the bargaining process. A working group will be established in the coming months to explore opportunities to streamline the bargaining process and foster positive working relationships. This is a non-binding process supported by the new collective agreement (April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2018.)
SUN Bargaining Update July 21, 22, 23, 2015
24-Jul-2015 - The SUN and SAHO bargaining committees met in Regina on July 21, 22 and 23, 2015. It was a productive session, with a great deal accomplished. The discussions were productive and transparent, and were based on an innovative problem-solving approach. Additional dates have been set for August.

10-Jul-2015 - SAHO and SUN met July 10 in Regina to discuss upcoming bargaining and agreed to a collaborative problem solving process. Both parties are committed to this approach, and will meet again July 21, 22, & 23, 2015 in Regina.

05-Jun-2015 - SAHO and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency met with the SGEU committee on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2 in Saskatoon. The parties discussed several outstanding items. The next bargaining dates are June 23-24, 2015 in Regina.

01-Jun-2015 - SAHO and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency bargaining committee met with the SGEU committee on Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28, 2015. The parties made continued progress in discussions. Further scheduled dates are planned for June 8, 23 and 24 in Regina.
HSAS/Midwives Bargaining - Further Update to March 23, 2015
20-May-2015 - HSAS/Midwives Bargaining – Further Update to March 23, 2015 SAHO and HSAS met on March 23, 2015. SAHO provided a proposal addressing work and wages. SAHO agreed to an HSAS request to have the wage component be referred to an adjudicator for a decision. An adjudication date has not yet been determined.

HSAS Bargaining Update - May 6, 2015
06-May-2015 - On behalf of health employers across the province, SAHO has applied to the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board to conduct a vote among HSAS members to provide employees the opportunity to review a final offer that SAHO believes to be fair and equitable.

05-May-2015 - SAHO and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency met with the SGEU committee in Davidson on Monday May 4, 2015. Continued progress was made on a number of non-monetary items. The parties will reconvene in Regina on May 11-12 and May 27- 28, 2015.
HSAS Bargaining Update - April 27-28, 2015
29-Apr-2015 - SAHO and the Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) met in Regina on April 27-28, 2015. On April 27th, HSAS asked SAHO to re-consider the final offer. SAHO met with HSAS on April 28th to confirm that the offer remained final. HSAS was advised that SAHO would be applying to the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board to conduct a vote among HSAS’ members on the final offer.

22-Apr-2015 - SAHO and the Saskatchewan Cancer Association met with the SGEU bargaining committee via video conference on Tuesday, April 22, 2015. The Employer tabled a monetary proposal. Future dates are in the process of being finalized.

24-Mar-2015 - SAHO and the Saskatchewan Cancer Association met with the SGEU bargaining committee on Monday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 24, 2015 in Regina. The parties discussed various items, and have planned to meet again on Wednesday, April 22 via video conference, Monday, May 4 in Davidson, Monday, May 11, Tuesday, May 12, Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28 in Regina.

23-Mar-2015 - SAHO presented HSAS with a revised proposal package on March 23, 2015. Further discussions were held throughout the day, until an adjournment was requested by HSAS. No further bargaining dates have been established.

12-Mar-2015 - SAHO and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency met with SGEU in Regina on March 11 and March 12, 2015. There were further discussions related to proposal items. Upcoming bargaining dates are scheduled for March 23 to March 24 in Regina, April 21 to April 23 in Saskatoon, May 4 in Davidson, as well as May 11, 12, 27 and 28 in Regina.

30-Jan-2015 - The parties met in Saskatoon on Thursday, January 29 and Friday, January 30, 2015. Discussions took place around potential solutions that would lead to the conclusion of an agreement. HSAS will consider the options discussed and the parties will return to the table on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27, 2015 in Regina.

30-Jan-2015 - The parties met for two days of bargaining at the SGEU Regina office on Tuesday January 27 and Wednesday January 28, 2015. Counter proposals were presented and discussion proceeded on numerous non-monetary items. Negotiations reconvene on Tuesday February 24 and Wednesday February 25 at the SGEU office in Saskatoon.

Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) Collective Bargaining - Outstanding Issues
09-Oct-2014 - HSAS represents more than 3,400 health support practitioners in health regions throughout Saskatchewan. Past negotiations have required third party intervention to settle the disputes.
HSAS Bargaining Update - October 8-9, 2014
09-Oct-2014 - SAHO and HSAS met in Regina October 7 and 8 to hear HSAS’s response to SAHO’s final offer. SAHO tabled a final offer at the previous meeting on September 26. HSAS tabled a counter proposal on Wednesday afternoon revising a couple of proposals related to Education Leave and Transportation Allowances, and proposing full retroactive pay. SAHO is committed to the final offer and believes that it could conclude a collective agreement that works for patients, employers and employees. SAHO Tables Final Offer to HSAS
26-Sep-2014 - The Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO) has tabled a final contract offer to the Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS), following intensive negotiations and employer compromise over the past year. SAHO returned to the bargaining table with the HSAS for three days of scheduled bargaining on September 24-26, 2014. SAHO tabled the final offer today.
HSAS Bargaining Update - September 17-18, 2014
19-Sep-2014 - SAHO and HSAS met at the bargaining table September 17 and 18, 2014. Over the two days, the parties met and discussed the Essential Services Agreement and HSAS’ Disclosure of Information proposal. HSAS rejected the revised Essential Services Agreement presented by SAHO, and no decisions were made on the Disclosure of Information proposal. Additional bargaining dates were established for September 24, 25 and the morning of September 26, 2014. Further updates will be provided as they become available.

Late day September 12, HSAS presented a counter offer, which will be reviewed. Additional bargaining dates were discussed, and confirmed for September 17 and 18. There was forward movement from both sides, with more in-depth discussions being held related to some of the outstanding proposals. HSAS Bargaining Update - July 21, 2014
21-Jul-2014 - Negotiations between SAHO and HSAS stalled after two days of bargaining on June 26 and 27, 2014. This led to the provincially appointed mediator declaring an impasse on July 8th, which began a 14 day cooling off period in compliance with The Saskatchewan Employment Act. Any time after July 23, HSAS would be in a position to withdraw service, as long as they have provided a 48 hour notice.

04-Jul-2014 - Further to the June 26-27, 2014 bargaining update, Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) has directed the mediator that the HSAS counter offer presented on June 26 represents a final position. To achieve any movement, HSAS requires that all conditions from the last offer tabled by SAHO be removed.
